With the Oscars happening this weekend I love to have
friends over to watch the glitz and glamour of Hollywood parade for the biggest
award show of the season. Entertaining should be easy so I make sure I have plenty
of finger foods around for my guests to enjoy. One of my favorite snacks to
have around is a cheesy garlic balls; this time I added a little twist by adding
some salty prosciutto to the mix. These garlic knots took almost no time to
prep and were absolutely delicious!
Ingredients:
- 1 can of Pillsbury buttermilk biscuits
- 3 slices of prosciutto
- 3 oz. of fresh mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 450*F
Cut up your fresh mozzarella into ½ inch cubes and set
aside. Take each slice of prosciutto and cut into 3 smaller pieces, you should
have about 9 slices of prosciutto all together.
Pull apart the can of buttermilk biscuits and taking one
disk at a time, gently stretch out the disk of dough to about double its size. In
the center add the cheese and prosciutto, pinch all the sides together to bring
the dough together and roll into a ball. Place on a non-grease baking sheet. Continue
to stuff each biscuit until you use up the whole can.
In a small pan slowly melt the butter and garlic powder together.
Brush the tops of the balls of dough with the garlic butter and sprinkle the parmesan
cheese over it.
Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes, until the dough is light
golden brown. Serve warm!

YUM! Those look so good - I'll have to make 'em soon.
